Navy Awards Railgun Contract.

For those not aware, the Navy recently took a large step. For years, the Navy has pursued everyones boyhood dream of the railgun. The contract, awarded to BAE, is meant to further refine the railgun into a weapon that can be fielded to the Fleet. 

 

This announcement makes me giddy like a schoolboy. The thought of a railgun in service reminds me that the future is now. If you hear someone screaming “SCIENCE!” to the heavens, thats probably me. 

On a side note, I am finally going to use this blog I’ve left blank for so very long.
